Description:
This ad was previously for a Williams FW18 and the flight case. The FW18 has now been sold.
This listing is now for a large flight case custom built by Packhorse at a cost of £8,000 to suit a Williams FW18 Formula One Car but any single seater will probably fit.
The case is 4 parts :
1. Mirrored base with drawers and pull out ramps
2 and 3 - one end and half of both sides.
4. Lid
There is an integral shelf for a front spoiler thus reducing the length of most F1 cars.
Tie down points in the mirrored base.
Car can be displayed on the base at an exhibition.
This suited us well in South America.
Case can be air freighted - fork lift guide points. Also wheels with protective cover plates for when air freighted.
There is a lot of foam lining but some need sticking back on. A few clasps are broken. there are lot of them so a few broken is not a problem in the short term and they are easily replaceable. In fact I have about a dozen spares and will include them in the sale.
Internal dimensions - 3970mm long x 2050mm wide x 1200 high.
Exterior dimensions 3990 long x 2145 wide x 1470 high. .
The car we transported was without an engine. If you wish to transport a car with engine I believe the construction is strong enough but even greater care will need to be taken if using a narrow spread fork lift!
This case is currently in storage in my Dutch warehouse - between Eindhoven and Venlo. Buyer collects or delivery possible EG Oxford, Munchen or Lyon at a cost of about £800-00 Check for details.
