Description:
Started as a very tidy 1999 Elise owned by my father from 3k miles which has proved to be reliable and competitive since it first entered the Elise Trophy (www.elisetrophy.com) in 2007. Meticulously maintained at Hofmann’s Motorsport this car has finished 21 of its 48 race starts on the podium. In 2008 it dominated Class B with 9 class wins and 1 outright win from 20 race starts earning me the “Driver of the Season” award. In 2009 the car was a significant feature of the Modified Class scoring 7 class podiums and 1 outright race win from 11 starts. Best results for 2010 so far have been qualifying 3rd at Castle Combe and a 4th place finish at Snetterton after running 2nd for most of the race. Full specification as follows:
-Rover VVC Engine stripped prior to the 2010 season for inspection and rebuilt with all new gaskets, belts, bolts, etc
-Close Ratio B4BP Gearbox with Helix Motorsport Clutch and AP Racing Clutch Plate replaced in March 2010
-Piper Cams, Vernier Pulleys and VVC Blanking Kit plus Emerald K3 ECU fitted in May 2010
-Eliseparts Stainless Steel Sports Exhaust and Cat Replacement Pipe replaced in June 2010
-Janspeed Big Bore 4-2-1 Exhaust Manifold
-Pro Alloy Aluminium Radiator and Rover Pressure Relief Remote Thermostat
-Stainless Steel braided clutch hose replaced in June 2010
-Hofmann’s specification Nitron Dampers fitted with Eibach main springs and helper/tender springs
-All ball joints and wheel bearings replaced plus steering rack refurbished with phosphor bronze bushes in 2009 and new Lotus OE Wishbone Bushes replaced in February 2010
-290mm AP Racing disks with Aluminium mounting bells front and rear plus front brake cooling ducts
-Eliseparts adjustable bump steering arm kit with Uniball steering arm joints replaced in June 2010
-Hofmann’s race specification Carbone Lorraine Sintered Metal Brake Pads replaced in July 2010
-Full corner weight car setup by Chris Randall at Hofmann’s
-Lightweight Rota wheels fitted with Yokohama A048R(M) tyres
-Steel rear uprights with hardened Eliseparts EN24 drive flanges
-Eliseparts 2.5x Stiffer Anti-Roll Bar
