Started as a very tidy 1999 Elise owned by my dad almost from new which has proven reliable and competitive since it first entered the Lotus Elise Trophy in 2007. Meticulously maintained at Hofmann’s Motorsport this car has finished almost half of all its race starts on the podium (21 podiums from 45 starts).

In 2008 this car dominated Class B with 9 class wins and 1 outright win from 20 race starts earning me the “Driver of the Season” award. In 2009 the car was a significant feature of the Modified Class scoring 7 class podiums and 1 outright race win from 11 starts. Best results for 2010 so far have been qualifying 3rd at Castle Combe and a 4th place finish at Snetterton after running 2nd for most of the race.

Producing 144bhp (measured by TDI at the hubs) and weighing 725kg (minus driver/fuel), this car meets every current Elise Trophy regulation and is 100% ready to race! Full specification as follows:

-Full Custom Cages 6-point roll cage constructed in lightweight T45 steel and welded in-situ for extra strength
-Hofmann’s specification Nitron Dampers fitted with 550/750 Eibach main springs and helper/tender springs
-Rover VVC engine stripped for inspection prior to the 2010 season and rebuilt with all new gaskets, belts, bolts, etc
-All ball joints and wheel bearings replaced plus steering rack refurbished with phosphor bronze bushes in 2009
-Tillett B6 Carbon Fibre Race Seat (HANs compatible) and Schroth 6-point drivers harnesses
-Plumbed-in FEV FXG-TEC Gas Fire Extinguisher with electronic controller
-Helix Motorsport Clutch and AP Racing Clutch Plate replaced in March 2010
-Lotus OE Wishbone Bushes in replaced in February 2010
-Steel rear uprights with hardened Eliseparts EN24 drive flanges
